Millville's Robert O'Connor looks to make a pass in the West Jersey Football League American Division game against Washington Township at Washington Township High School in Sewell, New Jersey on Friday, September 4, 2026. Michael Taylor for D2 Sports Network

Only two weeks remain until the cutoff date for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association high school football playoffs.

West Jersey Football League division title races are also heating up as the Garden State high school football season reaches the middle of October.

Week 7 is on deck and features a loaded slate in South Jersey.

The reigning Group 2 state champion visits the two-time defending Group 1 state champion.

The reigning Group 5 state champion puts its state-best 21-game win streak on the line in Sewell against the two-time defending Group 4 state champion.

Here's an inside look at five of this weekend's top matchups in South Jersey with players to watch, matchup history, predictions from myself and Chris Baker, and a complete schedule of games involving WJFL teams located throughout the traditional seven-county (Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem) South Jersey region:
