PISCATAWAY - A week after the latest attempt at a "three-peat" in professional sports had come up very short, the Delsea Regional High School wrestling team made history to their standard.

The Crusaders breezed past Brick Memorial, 45-30, to win their fourth consecutive Group 3 state title, which some call a "four-peat."

The meet started at 126 pounds, and from the jump, Delsea shot out to a 33-0 lead that included a tech fall, a major decision, and four pins before surrendering a loss at 165 pounds, where Brick Memorial's Malachi Saint-Vil garnered a 12-9 decision.

Delsea's Joel Anderson stuck a pin at 175 pounds to extend the lead further before Brick Memorial nabbed five straight wins, but it was too little too late.

Amari Vann sealed the deal with a pin in the final bout for the Crusaders, giving Delsea its fourth-straight Group 3 crown and sixth overall in program history.
