MOORESTOWN - After falling to Shawnee in last year's South Jersey Group 3 final, the top-seeded Moorestown High School softball team is out to redeem itself from a year ago.

The Quakers continued their redemption tour and moved closer to the same stage they came up short on with a 4-0 win over eighth-seeded Seneca in the South Jersey Group 3 quarterfinals on Tuesday afternoon.

The No. 1 seed in the bracket captured its ninth consecutive victory and improved its record to 20-5. The Quakers have shutout their opponent in seven out of their last nine games.

Despite Moorestown scratching across four runs in the contest, neither pitcher allowed an earned run. Seneca's Chloe Carter pitched six innings and allowed six hits and four runs. Each of the four runs were unearned. The Quakers either scored on errors in the field or plated runners that reached base on an error.
