CHERRY HILL - Scouts were in attendance to observe the pitching matchup between North Carolina commit Ryan Lynch and South Carolina commit Ryder Garino as the Moorestown baseball team visited Cherry Hill West for an Olympic Conference National Division showdown.

The game was pushed back to Saturday and moved to Chapel Avenue due to field conditions at Moorestown.

West capitalized on obtaining home field advantage with a 6-0 victory over the Quakers.

Moorestown recorded the first hit of the game with a one-out single from James Madison commit Ethan Tolbert. Ryan Scott followed up with a single of his own before Z'Niche Steave drew a walk to load the bases.

Garino reared back and picked up his third strikeout of the first inning to eliminate the scoring threat from the Quakers.
