No. 2 Camden Eastside powers past Sanford (De.) - boys basketball recap

GLASSBORO (N.J.) - Camden Eastside (9-1 record), ranked second in the D2 Sports Network/South Jersey Sports Zone South Jersey Top 10 boys basketball rankings, defeated Sanford (De.), 65-55, in the It's All About Sports MLK Tournament at Rowan University on Sunday. Jahaan Green led all scorers with 18 points. Cairo Rivera and Jeremiah Bright both scored 13 points apiece. Rashee Bell chipped in 11 points and Jalen Long added eight. Camden Eastside took control with 31 seconds remaining in the first quarter and never relinquished the lead.


Dayon Polk led Sanford (4-3) with a team-high 17 points on the night. Tommy Vaughn pitched in 16 and Jordan Spencer added 11.


The Tigers host No. 4 Camden Catholic on Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
