Franklin scores 33 as Camden advances to fourth straight Camden County final

HADDONFIELD — 6-foot-4 combo guard Keyshawn Franklin exploded for a game-high 33 points as Camden pulled away for a 67-54 victory over Woodbury in the Camden County Tournament semifinals at Paul VI High School on Saturday.


The Panthers advanced to their fourth straight Camden County final. Camden will visit top-seeded Paul VI at noon on Sunday. The game was originally scheduled for 4 p.m. at Rutgers-Camden before being moved up due to the impending snowstorm.


Franklin scored nine points in the first quarter as the Panthers jumped out to a 15-0 lead. The Thundering Herd went on a 21-10 run to trim the deficit to four points late in the second quarter.


Camden held a 32-24 at halftime after Woodbury’s Devin Williams hit a buzzer beater from the left wing to narrow the margin. Williams finished with 15 points. His brother, Kevin Williams, led the Herd with a team-high 20 points.


Alex Pace finished with 13 points for the Panthers and Andre Robinson added 11.


Camden has won four of its last five games.
