EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - As the favorite to win the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament, the Mainland Regional High School girls' basketball team felt no pressure.

The Mustangs remained committed to their goal and captured their third straight conference tournament crown with a 61-52 victory against divisional rival Wildwood Catholic at Egg Harbor Township on Saturday afternoon.

Mainland's Ava Mazur drained a pair of free throws to start a sequence of back-and-forth scoring for both sides. The conditioned Mustangs concluded the quarter with a six-point lead.

Kasey Bretones took over in the second quarter and scored eight of her game-high 23 points in the period. The Massachusetts commit consistently attacked the rim and finished 8-for-14 from the free throw line in the contest.

Bella Mazur added five points in the quarter to help the Mustangs extend their lead to 35-26 at halftime.
