BELLMAWR - The Delsea Regional High School baseball team owned a five-game win streak and went viral in the process with a hidden ball trick to record the final in a victory over Audubon on April 13.
The streak moved to six games as the Crusaders dominated from start to finish in an 8-0 victory over Notre Dame in the Thank You Classic at the Bellmawr Rec Center on Saturday. The game concluded after six innings due to a lighting issue at the complex.
Goldey-Beacom commit George Starr shined for Delsea as he tossed a one-hit complete game shutout in six innings. Starr also struck out a career-high 11 batters on just 72 pitches.
"It felt good to get back out on the mound after getting back from our senior trip," Starr said. "This year I've been used more as a starter than I was in the past but regardless of if I come out of the bullpen or start, I'm going to bring my best stuff each outing."
