Eastern baseball looks towards bright future after loss to Bridgewater-Raritan in state final

HAMILTON - The Eastern Regional High School baseball team overcame many obstacles late in the season to earn to an appearance in the Group 4 state final.


In the final game of the New Jersey high school baseball season, the Vikings fell short to Bridgewater-Raritan, 6-4, at Veterans Park last Saturday.


Boston College commit Logan Dawson battled for six innings and allowed six runs. Only two runs were earned. Dawson also struck out five batters and allowed seven hits. Eastern committed five errors on defense.


Dawson never wavered.


"Logan is a gamer," Eastern coach Rob Christ said. "He's always going to give us as much as he can, no matter the circumstances he's pitching in."
