MOORESTOWN — The Burlington Township High School football team recorded its third shutout of the season with a 34-0 win over Moorestown in a West Jersey Football League Independence Division matchup on Friday night.
The Falcons improved their record to 4-0 under first-year coach Stephen Everette. Everette previously coached at neighboring rival Willingboro and Clayton.
Quarterback Baron Davis finished 10-for-14 passing for 158 yards and three touchdowns. Aiden Binns racked up 124 yards and two scores on the ground. Quayd Hendryx reeled in three receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. Burlington City transfer Inez McNair caught two passes for 41 yards and a score. Yeator Tappia hauled in a 22-yard touchdown pass from Davis.
Township has outscored opponents, 118-7, this season. Everette’s group has recorded shutouts against the Quakers, Haddon Heights and Absegami. The Falcons host undefeated Delran in a WJFL Independence Division showdown next Friday night at 6 pm.
Moorestown (0-4 record) will host Haddon Heights on Friday at 7 pm.
