CAMDEN - The Camden High School basketball team hasn't suffered a loss to a South Jersey opponent since 2019.

Kentucky commit Billy Richmond ensured the streak remained alive.

With less than five seconds left to play, Sitafa Hall inbounded a pass to Richmond. The Kentucky commit invaded the lane and scored to lift Camden to a 40-38 triumph over Paul VI in an Olympic Conference National Division showdown at Clarence Turner Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

Richmond's drive and soft touch, complemented by his No. 24 jersey layered in black, gold and purple, mirrored the clutch motions of late Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

"Just mamba mentality," Richmond said. "Big time players make big time shots at the end. I wanted the ball and I wanted to put it in the rim so that's what I did."
