MEDFORD - Lenape High School senior Aaron "Ace" Lassiter only needed three points to be a hero.

Lassiter splashed a 3-pointer from the corner to lift the top-seeded Indians past Rancocas Valley, 41-38, in the second annual Burlington County Tournament final on Friday night.

Lenape trailed 38-36 with less than a minute left in regulation. Merrimack commit Tye Dorset scored to even the count with 37.3 seconds left.

A turnover by the Red Devils gave Lenape possession with 25 seconds to play. The Indians worked the clock down until Dorset delivered a pass to Lassiter in the right corner.

"The plan was for Tye to get downhill and hit me," Lassiter said. "Tye and my teammates believed in me and I hit that shot. Biggest shot of my life."
