WESTAMPTON - The Pemberton Township High School boys basketball team needed a fresh start.
The Hornets experienced a sluggish start in a previous outing against Pennsauken. They rallied in the second and third quarters to close the gap, but a sloppy finish resulted in a 62-49 loss on Thursday.
"Coming into yesterday, we had a big head," first-year Pemberton coach Taro Gaither said. "We thought we were going to go out and blow a team out, and we got really upset when we showed each other what it's like when we don't play together."
The Hornets hit the reset button with a pivotal Burlington County Scholastic League Liberty Division matchup on the horizon.
The team watched film, Gaither delivered a message, and his players responded.
