D2 Football – Ten of Top 25 lose today

getimage.aspTop-ranked North Alabama lost in 4 overtimes on a day that saw nine other members of the Top 25, including another undefeated team, #4 Minnesota State-Mankato, go down to defeat.  Central Washington will be the only un-beaten D2 team as the regular season comes to a close.

The playoff field will be announced tomorrow at 3 pm EST on ESPN News.  Twenty-four teams (six in each Super Region) will be selected to compete for the Division II National Championship on December 12, 2009 in Florence, Alabama.  The event is hosted by the Shoals National Championship Committee and the University of North Alabama.
